Drone flights to be restricted in Kyrgyzstan during international events

The use of airspace by unmanned aerial vehicles (UAVs) and light aircraft will be temporarily restricted in Bishkek, Chui region, and Issyk-Kul region.
According to the State Civil Aviation Agency, the restrictions will be in effect during the preparation and holding of several international events, including the Shanghai Cooperation Organization (SCO) Summit, the 6th World Nomad Games, the Consultative Meeting of the Heads of State of Central Asia and Azerbaijan, and the F1H2O World Championship in powerboat racing.
The ban applies to all types of unmanned aerial vehicles, including amateur drones and quadcopters, as well as light aviation aircraft such as paragliders, hang gliders, light aircraft, and private helicopters.
The agency emphasized that any flights not approved by authorized state bodies will be considered a violation of Kyrgyzstan’s airspace regulations.
Unauthorized flights may result in administrative and criminal liability. Law enforcement authorities may also confiscate equipment belonging to violators.
